The Inspiration

Growing up,  I was so fascinated with my mom's style --- smart, sophisticated and totally unique.  She never looked like your typical college professor.  Though her clothes are structured and formal, she always has an element of surprise that a fashionista would definitely sport.  Boy! Her style has been an envy of both moms and kids my age at that time.  How I wish I could dress the way she does.

Now that I'm at my 30's with 4 kids, I feel that I'm in that stage of finding my true style.  Though I want to just donate all my clothes and go on a "make over" shopping spree (though I really deserve one), I for one know that it's not a possibility at the moment.  Hey 3 of my kids are still in diapers!!!  I realized that personal style isn't done in one day.  It's a process that we have been working on since we are kids.

Personal style is not just copying what we see in magazines.  It is the by product of our very own favorites, body type,  daily activities,  budget, and of course self expression.  A successful personal style is appreciating the beauty that we see around us and working with it to make us happy.  Take note, happy not uncomfortable.  =)

Join me as I write about my fashion inspirations ---the beautiful things I see everyday.  If there are other things that makes you happy, feel free to share it too.   Happy beauty hunting!
